Responsible gambling

Gambling is entertainment that costs money, not a way to earn it. These tools help you stay in control, and the services below are there if it stops feeling that way.

Need help now?

Talking to someone helps, and these services are free, confidential and independent of us. You don't need to be in crisis to call.

Game and money limits

Set these in My Account, under Responsible Gambling. You can use as many as you like.

ToolWhat it does
Deposit limitCaps how much you can deposit per day, week or month. Deposits that would go over it are blocked.
Loss limitCaps how much you can lose, after wins, per day, week or month.
Time checkA reminder every 15 to 120 minutes that shows how long you've been logged in.

Lowering a limit, or adding one, takes effect straight away. Raising or removing a limit only takes effect after 24 hours, so the decision isn't made in the heat of a session. Until then, the change shows as pending and you can cancel it.

Taking a break

A time-out locks your account for 24 hours, 7 days or 6 weeks. During that time you can't log in, deposit or play, and the break can't be ended early. When it finishes, your account opens again as normal.

If you want longer than 6 weeks, use self-exclusion instead.

Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion closes your account for 6 months, 1 year, 2 years or 5 years. It can't be reversed before the period ends, even if you ask. While you're self-excluded:

  • you can't log in, deposit or play;
  • we stop all marketing to you;
  • we block any attempt to open a new account in your name.

If you have money in your account when you self-exclude, we return it to you. When the period ends, your account stays closed until you contact us, and we'll ask a few questions before reopening it.

GAMSTOP

GAMSTOP is a free national self-exclusion scheme. One sign-up blocks you from every online gambling site licensed in Great Britain, including Voodoo Slots, for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years.

Operators licensed in Great Britain must take part in GAMSTOP. If you're registered with the scheme, you can't open or use an account with us for as long as your exclusion lasts.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time in My Account, under Responsible Gambling, or by emailing support@voodoslots.com. Any balance is returned to you. If you're closing the account because of how gambling is affecting you, self-exclusion or GAMSTOP will protect you better, because a closed account can be reopened.

Signs gambling may be a problem

Ask yourself honestly whether any of these sound familiar:

  • You spend more money or time gambling than you meant to.
  • You chase losses, gambling more to win back what you've lost.
  • You borrow money, sell things or miss bills to fund gambling.
  • You feel restless or irritable when you try to cut down.
  • You hide your gambling from family or friends, or lie about it.
  • Gambling is affecting your sleep, work, studies or relationships.
  • You gamble to escape worries, stress or low mood.

If even one of these rings true, take a break and talk to someone. GamCare also has a short self-assessment on its website.

Under-18s

It is illegal for anyone under 18 to gamble with us. We check age at registration and verify identity before any deposit. If we find that a player is under 18, we close the account and return deposits.

If children use your phone or computer, keep your log-in details private, don't save your password in the browser and consider parental control software that blocks gambling sites.
